I read about a new feature for my TiVo that will allow me to archive shows by
burning them onto a DVD. Unfortunately, there's only software available for
Windows to burn the DVD's.

Is it possible to burn DVD's using my Mac's superdrive from my Virtual PC
for Mac version 7?

Thanks,
David

No, VPC doesn't have a superdrive, or a dvd-burner. It emulates a
standard cd-rom/dvd-rom regardless of the Mac's underlying behavior.

Theoretically, you should be able to use a USB dvd burner since VPC
can see USB devices, but I won't bet on it working very successfully.

Even for externally attached USB or FireWire drives?

You can't use the burner inside of a VPC virtual machine; it only emulates a read-only CD-Rom drive. For more details. http://www.easyreplication.co.uk/dvd-replication/
