local printers not redirecting

Hi there!
I'm connecting with my MacBook via Remote Desktop to a Windows Server 2008 R2. Everything works great, except that my local printer is not available in the server session. I understand that Easy Print is supposed to automate this but I can't get it to work. I've tried installing the local print driver on the server, which then will send a page to my Mac, but when the print queue (HP OfficeJet Pro 8500) displays an error message: pstopdffilter /pstocupsraster failed with error number -31000.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

No, still fighting with it. I finally switched one user back to a PC, which is too bad, but we really needed to get this going. Let me know if you find anything positive. My email is jeff dot cecile at gmail dot com.
