30 day trial download for Office for Mac

I enjoyed the download and learned a lot. The trial period has ended. I will purchase the software as soon as I can afford it. Meanwhile, My older word documents are locked up. I need my resume immediately but can't access it. It wasn't created with the trial download. How can I fix this until I can get the software for real?

exactly what happens when you try?
Do you still have another version of Office/Word installed? If so you should
be able to open the files using the standard File> Open command from within
the program. If that isn't working you'll need to provide more details about
your version & update level, file format & specific behaviors.
Use the Remove Office utility that came with the trial version to remove it.
If you need further help it would be best to post a new message in the Forum
specifically for Word or Mac Office -- I'm not sure how you got into this
oddball 'other products' group in the first place, but it isn't very well
visited by those who may be able to assist. Be sure to include all the
particulars mentioned above if you do post there.
