Printing background text in Word for Mac 2008

Why can't I print background text in office mac 2008 even when checking the option on under word preferences - print - background images etc? Please help, it's driving me crazy.

It would be best if you'd post to the group specifically for Word - this

Be sure to specify your exact version update level of Office as well as OS
X, and include an accurate description of what you're referring to as
"background text"... Is it in a text box? Is it in the Header/Footer? Is is
Word Art? What features did you use to create it? You need to identify it in
Word's terms, otherwise we have no idea what you're dealing with.
