invalid disk

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" is the message I get when I reboot. Performed disk repair to no avail. Please Help.

It doesn't specify a disk. The window pops up on restart. My options are to Initialize, Ignore or Eject. The is no disk in the player on restart.

Did you try eject?

Open Disk Utility in Applications/Utilities. Do you see a CD listed under
the CD drive? Hit the eject key. You can also check in a Finder window.
