Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi!

I keep getting a message that I need to update Microsoft AutoUpdate 2.1.1 and under 'type' it says "critical". I download it, put in my password and everything seems Ok, and then it checks for updates again and the same critical update comes up.
I've tried to download direct from the site but the same thing happens.
I bought Microsoft office for Mac with my computer in May/June last year. It's a legal copy and has updated perfectly fine up until now. The folder seems to be in the same place. The only other mishap is that word sometimes plays up when using tables (text goes over the top of other text).

Hope someone can help!
Cheers,

Brooke.

Do you have other copies of Office? The updater could be seeing those to update.

The Office 2008 MAU is now hidden away. Check to be sure it’s updated. It should be 2.3.0

/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MAU2.0

What version is the Microsoft Component Plugin?

"/Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Office/MicrosoftComponentPlugin.framework"

I'm seeing 2*2*0 as the latest -- oddly enough it isn't to be found anywhere
on Mactopia or the main MS site... 2.1.1 is the latest I can find.

Hi!

When I go to /Library/Application Support/Microsoft - there is no MAU2.0, my only choices are Office or Silver Light.

The Microsoft Component Plugin is 12.2.3

It should be the only version of Office. I've only ever loaded one on.

Thanks for your help,

Brooke

You’ll need to re-install Office.

Do you have the EWS version installed? I checked my install with 12.2.4 and
the MAU is 2.2.0. I wasn't aware that EWS changed the MAU too.

In answer to your question, though, No I'm not using EWS. Apparently there
is a difference in the MAU versioning if you do use it.

This could explain how it knows to update Entourage for v13 with the same
updater.

Hi, am having the same problem with my Microsoft AutoUpdate 2.1.1 as well.

I have MAU 2.0.
