I used the Notebook Layout for a particular type of document last week,
however now want other types of documents but it won't let me.

1. File menu only offers New Blank Notebook Layout.
2. Changing to Print Layout and then saving as with Replace only reverts to
Notebook Layout when I re-open it.

Using Word 2008 12.1.9.

Cheers

Yeah, it's just a little bit of a nuisance :-)

Click the little black triangle on the right edge of the New button on the
standard Toolbar & select the type of blank document you want to create...
Why they didn't build that into File> New I have no idea.

Alternatively you can open a non-notebook document & the menu will revert
until you use NB view again. The "secret" is to not have a NB file be the
last one displayed when you quit Word.
