Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel HI there
my spell checker is not detecting any spelling mistakes on any documents I create.
I have gone into Language and clicked English UK as a default and its does not make a difference.
I keep getting a message saying ' Word cannot identify text language'
Most annoying, anyone got any tips to help solve this? Thanks

The language can be set word-by-word in a Word document.

If "Word cannot identify the spelling language" then there is text in your
document marked with a language Word does not have.

Change the Normal style to "English UK" and then select all of the text in
the document, the headers, the footers, the text boxes etc and set them to
English UK also.

This can be very frustrating but "it's there somewhere".

If you can't solve it, replace your Normal template and try again.

Hope this helps
