You want "Crop marks" and Word doesn't have them.

Save the document to PDF and add them in Adobe Acrobat.

Cheers

What you are referring to are called "crop marks" or "cropping marks" which
Word does not provide. You typically find them available in Desktop
Publishing applications which are used to create output for commercial
printing on oversized stock.

Word *does* offer what are known as Text Boundaries which can be made
visible if you go to Word> Preferences> View & check the box by that name.
However, they do not print.

If you need to have printable crop marks in a Word doc you'll need to draw
them yourself. Alternatively, you can use Format> Borders & Shading - Page
Borders, open the list labeled Art: and scroll to the very bottom. There
you'll find 2 "cut line" borders, either of which should suit your purpose.
