footnote numbers not superscripted and are too big

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Power PC For some reason the footnote numbers in my text are full-sized and not superscripted. The notes themselves are OK.

That's due to the formatting of your Footnote Reference style.

Use Format>Style to change it.

Now remove the direct formatting from the footnote reference numbers.
