Autonumbering cause Word X to quit

I discovered that the autonumbering feature in Word X is causing
my Word X to quit "unexpectedly." If I turn off the feaure, the
program ran fine. Has anyone experienced this problem? I
recently installed Norton's antivirus program and an HP All-in-
One printer. Are these causing the problem? I don't think I had
this problem before.
