I want to edit an email that has numerous soft paragraph marks (left
pointing arrow Keyboard action: shift return)

What do I insert in the find field?

Try ^l (the "l" stands for "line break").

Side Note: click on the triangle to expand the F&R dialog, and then you
can use the Special menu to both enter and teach yourself such codes.

I'm glad Russ asked this question. I didn't know those special
features existed in the F&R dialog. It's nice to learn about
something that will save me time.

Use '^l' (caret [Shift+6] + lower case L).

My developer friend just helped me with this. FYI, the 'soft
paragraph mark' is a manual line break in Microsoft parlance.
