I am creating an address label through Tools and I want to add a "c/o" (care of) on the label, but whenever I press the forward slash button the Word Help Home pops up. I have gone to the Customize Shortcuts and deleted the shortcut, but it still pops up. How can I get rid of this so I can put the forward slash on my label?

Perhaps you have the multiple key lock function
turned on in your Universal Access preferences... ?
To check this, go to the Apple () menu, System Preferences,
Universal Access, Keyboard pane and make sure that the
key lock functions are turned off.
(If this happens to be on, whenever you hit the Command key,
and subsequently type the forward slash, you will always
get the Word help menu...)

There may be other reasons, but check this one and let us
know what happens.

I don't know what is causing the problem, but as a workaround to get a
/ in your document you can try:
a. Word Insert->Symbol
b. Select font "(normal text)
c. Locate and select the forward slash character (character 47)
d. click Insert

(or you can locate the character in the Mac character Viewer and drag it
to the document)
