Auto capital letter after period - need to disable

Suddenly, Word 2008 (and when I type an e-mail) capitalizes the letter
after a period. This is a real pain. For example I type my e-mail
address which ends @bigpond.Com - and the "C" is Automatically a
capital (upper case) "C". I have to go back and correct. Often I
get, not onlky a capital but a sp;ace. Eg. @bigpond. Com
I've tried to switch off autocorrect and any other item that looks as
if it may be relevant - but in vain. Please help me.

Are you sure another application (like SpellCatcher) is not
auto-correcting for you?

Thank you Corentin. You are a star!!
You pointed me in the correct direction. It was "Textexpander" that
was set to capitalize new sentences.
The problem is now resolved.
