PS:
Some of us get gifted with a new OS by our bosses, friends or family
members, so this happens not by our own choosing, and then we are
expected to deal with the issues raised by malfunctioning software
caused by the new OS. I.e. go running around like a chickens with our
heads cut off, trying to find out when and if a patch will become
available, and listen to people complain about you even asking for
some information. If not after all that not being able to finding out
if will be patched or up graded in some manner, then having to find a
suitable replacement software the did the same job.

All the Microsoft patches were out a month before OS 10.6 was released.
Make sure you have applied 12.2.0 and then 12.2.1 to Office before you
upgrade.
You will then find that Office 2008 runs better in 10.6 than it did in 10.5.
