Hi I'm using Word for Mac 2004 on a new macbook w/ Leopard. Scrolling
down a
document with either the mouse wheel or the sidebar has been very slow
(it
is interrupted every few seconds as if the machine is making some kind
of
check or update). I tried a few things: kept the autocorrect options
at a
minimum, changed the settings on my end note program so that
references are
checked only every hour, and re-installed word --> continue to have
same
problem. any other suggestions?

Thanks

David

Hi
I too have a similar problem. When I am using Word (Office 2004 for
MAC), when I scroll, it gets hung and when I hit the up or down arrow,
it behaves weird and scrolls at its will. I too don't don't know why
it is happening and what can be done to rectify this. Can anyone help?
thanks
Betta

Turn off the automatic spelling & grammar checkers & see if that makes a
difference. I haven't gone to Leopard yet so I can't offer anything more,
but there may be a system consideration as well - I understand that Leopard
is far more RAM-hungry than its predecessors. If so, that's less resource
for the apps if your Mac's configuration remains the same.

I'm still using Tiger, but have just started experiencing this same weird scrolling behavior with Word 2004-frustrating. Any ideas?

No idea at all, unless you tell me what you mean by "same behaviour". Same
as what?

If you changed the Subject of the post, I can't see the post you are
referencing, so I have no idea which one you mean.
