There's nothing you can do to dictate that behavior through the doc because
View Options are at the user's discretion - not properties of the doc.
Not being a coder I can't say for sure, but prior to Office2008 I would
expect that you might be able to embed a macro in a doc that forced the view
& disabled others while open, but it's a rather extreme measure. With 2008
it won't work anyhow due to lack of macro support in that version, plus the
fact that macro security has tightened up so much [especially in PC Land]
that the doc might not survive in most cases even if you could.
Why don't you just distribute a PDF instead - no muss, no fuss?

Pieces and you would have to put them together. I just tried converting
a .docx file I worked on and low and behold it converted all pages as
one pdf and did it so fast it almost made my head spin.

Christine: re Daiya's comment below, it's very common for document
professionals to provide a PDF *in addition to* the Word document with an
instruction to print, or initially view, from the PDF. Phillip's news shows
it's much easier to PDF in Word 2008 in the event that the Word document
contains different margin settings, including portrait and landscape
orientations.

I said that Office2008 has in the Save As a selection to save as a PDF.
(this is not to be confused with that little thingie that acrobat places
as floating window).
And that previous to 2008 that each time it came across a Page Break
command, it would start a new PDF job and you would have to to put
pieces back together. (I've had that to happen so I would use returns
instead.
I tried on document I save a set of Bylaws for my association. And it
had bunches of Page Breaks that I inserted instead of enough returns to
make sections I needed break to next page. Anyway It converted as one
job very fast.
I didn't try swapping orientations, or section Breaks. I'm assuming
section breaks act somewhat like Page Breaks.
The conversion went very Fast.
My apologies if I caused some confusion. Except for it looking like
MacWrite Pro I am liking it very well so far.
