Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I'm trying to draw a chart with connected boxes and need to be able to manually route the elbow connectors.

Sometimes when I add a connector or move a box, the connector automatically adds an additional elbow (the little yellow control point), but I can't find a way to add one manually.

So at the moment I have connectors deciding their own routing and going straight across boxes rather than around them.

I'm hoping there's a simple answer, but it's driving me nuts trying to find it - can anyone help please?

Regards, Brian

Hi Brian;

The 'simple' answer is to use a program designed for creating flow charts &
diagrams (such as OmniGraffle) rather than trying to rely on convenience
features in some other type of app :-) There is both a standard & a pro
version. Standard is available as a free trial:

Seriously, the pre-fabricated tools Office offers are nice if they will
provide the result you need based on their limitations. But if your
requirements are more complex it's far better to create using the proper
software then insert the finished product into the document as an object.
