Version: 2008 Processor: Intel Hi,

One of our client is not able to open embedded pdf's from powerpoint documents on his MAC. Also, when we tried to create a new powerpoint document and tried to attach pdf in that as an object it gave below given error:

'the server application, source file or item cannot be found. check that path and file name are correct or try reinstalling the server application'

same powerpoint documents and embedded files are working fine in our Windows PCs with office 2007.

Client is using Office 2008 with Adobe Pro 9 in his MAC.

Please suggest.

Mac PPT does not support OLE linking to external files, nor are PDFs
embeddable in Mac PPT. That's why the links created in the Windows version
won't work for the Mac user as well as why you're getting the error message
when trying to link/embed a PDF from Mac PPT.
