PowerPoint used to come with all editions of Office. Unfortunately,
Office now comes with a wide range of different applications depending on
what version of office you have. Some editions include PowerPoint and
some don't. There is no way to create a PowerPoint presentation without
PowerPoint.

PowerPoint isn't included in Office Basic Edition, I'm afraid.
You can purchase a standalone copy of PowerPoint and install that, though.

Hi,

I've not heard of "Basic Office Edition." Maybe that is an older product.

There is a "Standard Edition" and that does come with PowerPoint.

It's a Windows thing. Office 2003 Basic Edition is the one OEMs usually include with a
Windows PC, if they include Office at all.
