Is there a way to embed fonts into a PowerPoint file? When I create a
presentation I would like it to appear exactly the same way on any other
machine. This doesn't seem possible unless the fonts used in the file are
also on the new machine. This is particularly difficult when using a guest
machine for a conference presentation that is usually a PC. Is what I am
asking impossible?

Yes, but you won't like the answer.

Save the presentation from a Windows version of Powerpoint.
Play it back only on Windows versions of Powerpoint.

Mac PPT doesn't support font embedding.

(But don't feel bad; it's not all that reliable on the Windows version.
Many fonts have permissions that prohibit embedding, so it doesn't work all
the time.)
