Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi,

I am creating a presentation that includes slides with a great deal of animation- 20 objects and 10 or so animations. How can I use a selection pane (like in the 2007 version of the pc version) to show and hide objects so I can see what I am working on without the other objects cluttering up the slide?

I searched for similar questions, and found a user who asked this question about a year ago and the answer was "there is none." that discussion is now closed. So, I am wondering, has this strange omission of feature been addressed?

Best,
Ellie

No it is rare that you'll ever see features added to an existing release
by way of updates... In most cases it simply cannot be done. One of the few
exceptions I've ever seen in either the Mac or PC version is the addition of
Path Animation to Office 2008. My guess is that the necessary underpinnings
were already there but it hadn't been feasible for some reason to include it
in the initial release.

The best hope is that it will be included in the next release of Office.
