Problem viewing slides

Hi,

I've been designing a poster using Powerpoint, and sometimes when I change the zoom, the image will disappear and I'll have to play around with the zoom or close and reopen the program.
Now, I've tried re-opening the program several times and I still can't see the slide. If I switch to slide sorter view or open the slide show, I can see it, but not in any of the views where I can actually work on it.

Any idea how to fix this??
