Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC
In Microsoft powerpoint 2004, I was able to move an object to line up, etc. small steps using the OPTION key on my keyboard in combination with the arrow keys.
In 2008, I can only move the normal size steps using the arrows and using the OPTION key for half steps (baby steps) doesn't seem to work. Any ideas on how to get this to work?
Example: When I have a calendar picture and want to put an circle graphic to emplasize a particular date, I would like to place the circle evenly around the number. Using the OPTION key and arrows I was able to do this in 2004. Not in 2008. Please help!

Head for View> Guides & turn on Snap to Grid. You can then use the arrows for major nudge increments & either Command or Control for smaller increments.
