THE CHECK BOX in Excel DOES NOT PRINT-THIS WAS MENTIONED EARLIER (October, 2008). Is there any update?

I don't see any particularly similar post in October, and you didn't
either reply to the original message or give an article reference
number, so I'm not sure what was mentioned then, or know whether there
was a reply. Checkboxes print for me.

The first thing to check is whether the "Print object" checkbox is
checked: right- or CTRL-click the checkbox, choose "Format Control..."
and click on the "Properties" pane.

If the checkbox is checked, try updating your print driver. Does that
help?

Do you see the checkbox in Print/Preview?

John,

This is known (at least to me and MS) bug in 2008. Check boxes just do not
print. Hopefully a fix will be available son.

Hmm.... I can print them to PDF, and in Preview - I'm not connected to a
printer right now, but I *thought* they printed there, too...

If you remove 3d shading and set color and line to no fill, it will not

Ah... Thanks.

My check boxes will not print either, however I notice that on the set templates for Sheets "Ledger" (Gallery Toolbox) their checkboxes print.

I am trying to use the Format Control to shade the actual box not the whole square - any suggestions?

Yes, they do indeed print on ledger sheets. There clearly is a bug here.
Microsoft is aware of it. Since I do not know what the bug is, exactly, I
can not offer any work around or suggestions. Just watch mactopia to see if
a fix is announced.

I am not able to put blank boxes on my forms for the nurses to check as to which drug is to be given to the patient.
I will receive an electronic version on my pc, but when I open it up on my mac there are no blank boxes on the form.

Sorry, but this is a known bug. There is no word from Microsoft about when
(or even if) it will be fixed. Keep watching Mactopia for an announcement.
