Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) SOS folks,

I am in a pickle! So, as I was working on Excel, something happened because now it doesn't let me select cells with the touchpad, but only using the arrow keys. It's very strange. I went to tools to make sure that neither the sheet nor the book is protected...What can it possibly be?
I would be fantastic if somebody could cast some light on this technical glitch.

All the best,

Joseph

Hail mates, I solved the problem by updating the software. Now it works properly! so do the same thing if it ever happens to you.
Cheers,

Joseph

Hi Joseph:

You get the "Smart thinking of the week" award for your decision to check
the updates.

I reckon we would have only half as much to do in here if everyone were to
follow your wise example :-)

Cheers

The Correct Answer Is:

1. Select the whole page
2. Go to the "Format" menu
3. Select "Cells..."
4. Select the "Protection" tab
5. Uncheck "Locked" and "Hidden"
6. Save your document

You should be able to click any cell in the normal way.

Update must have changed Joseph's settings.
