Is Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) supported on MS Office v. X?

Partially.

What did you have in mind?

I'm working with Opto 22 Modules and I'm trying to use some examples,
particularly a sample MS Excel worksheet which is a DDE client.
On Windows NT is running an OptoEnetServer which receives data from
Opto 22 Modules via DDE.
I'd like to use the Excel worksheet also in Mac OS X to read values
(we operate in a multiplatform environment) - obviously in Windows it
works right - but DDE is necessary to communicate between
OptoEnetServer (on WinNT) and Excel worksheet (on Mac OS X).

Is it clear?

Hi

You can try using DDE with a cell formula. Search for DDE in help for an
example. I have not personally tried this method in Excel X.

DDE using MS query is not yet available for Excel Ver X, but if you would
like to add your plea to have this enabled, please send a note to Microsoft
using the feedback option on Excel's help menu.
