This is a long-standing bug in Entourage that has been around for as long as we can remember. We would love to see this fixed, as it has gotten us in trouble on several occassions.

When you have multiple IMAP accounts in Entourage, and you go to create a brand new outgoing message in Entourage, Entourage always sets the account of your new outgoing message to whichever IMAP account you are viewing at the current time! Even if you have previously set your account preferences to default to a DIFFERENT IMAP ACCOUNT for new messages, Entourage COMPLETELY IGNORES your account options and simply defaults to whichever IMAP account your mouse is currently highlighting in the list of folders in the left-hand margin.

This is a real problem for us, and we wish that Microsoft would fix this.

Thanks,
Scott

I wouldn't call that a bug, I'd call it a preference. That's the
behavior that I prefer. If you want otherwise, you need to send
feedback to Microsoft.

Like Adam, I'm not sure that MS considers it a bug, but if you do, use Send
Feedback on the Help menu in any Office app.

I assume you realize you can override the choice on each message you're
sending and send it from any of your accounts. A bit of a nuisance, since
you must choose the account for EACH outgoing message, but you can at least
send from your preferred account.
