How do I send an email or attachment (like a newsletter) to a group of
recipients so that none of them see the others' names or email addresses?

Thanks.

Hi Don,

Send the email TO yourself. Then BCC it to the group of recipients.

You mean that you've created a Group for them in your Address Book? Just

Why is it tacky? Seriously, I don't understand. Is it because you've put
your own name in the TO field? Use someone else's ... or create an address
book contact (like "XYZ Newsletter") at your own email address to send it
to.

If you create a group in your addresses book, then open the group, and right
below the name of the group is a box that you can check that says "Don't
Show Addresses When Sending To Group". That's probably the easiest way.

But the original poster, Don, also didn't want to show their names.

Hi Barry,

I have a 'don't show list addresses' but not a 'don't show list names'
option when I open a group for editing. I'm in Ent 2001. Is this possibly
a feature in Ent X that I don't have or am I missing something?

Easy as pie. Just put each of the addresses into Bcc: instead of To:. In
To:, enter in your own e-mail address.

I believe there is an AppleScript at http://www.applescriptcentral.com/
That will allow you to send a BCC message so that each recipient is the only
one shown under To:

Two:

Separate BCC Messages

and

Separate Group Messages

The second is more fun for regular mailings to the same people. Although
listed as Entourage 2001 scripts, they should also work with Entourage X.
