Entourage will be dog slow and probably cause problems. It's not recommended
to have the database on a server.

Tanya didn't mention anything about a server.
She said that another user would be using Entourage
and accessing the same calendars, to-dos and notes on her
same computer.
I would think that the solution I suggested (moving the
Main Identity folder to the Public folder, and then
putting an alias pointing to the Main Identity folder
in its place for both users) would work.
I've actually got my Entourage Main Identity folder
set up on the Public folder on the same computer -
it seems to work OK.

I'm running the OS in Japanese language mode, and I
forgot the English translation for 共有... hehe...

Well, I messed up too. I was thinking it was a folder on a server. I guess I

No problem - I'm trying to think in two different languages,
and sometimes neither one comes out right :-o
I really would like to use Mac OS X in English mode, but
unfortunately my Adobe CS4 software is the Japanese localized
version, and it does terrible, ugly things when I switch the OS
to English mode... :-p
(Wonder why they can't take a hint from Omni products,
which work wonderfully even when you switch the OS language.)
That aside, there is one caveat I remembered about placing
the Main Identity in the Shared folder and accessing it
via an alias. Namely, Entourage will automatically create
a new Main Identity folder when you log in with a new
user account that hasn't used Entourage before.
So the solution would require creating the alias and putting
it in place of the second user's Main Identities folder, BEFORE the
second user logs in.
That way, Entourage can find the alias and not attempt to
make a brand new Main Identity folder from scratch. ;-)

Entourage needs to launch first to create a Microsoft User Data folder in
the new User. Quit Entourage, delete the new blank Identity THEN add the
alias or symlink to the Entourage Identity in Shared.
