how to make entourage default program for sending attachments

When using Word 04, I tried using file>send as attachment but the mac
mail program opened when I wanted entourage to open. How do I make
entourage the default program when I am in word and I want to choose
the option send as attachment within word?

Try setting Entourage as the default email reader. Open Apple Mail, and
then go to Mail > Preferences. Click the "General" button, and, next to
"Default email reader", select "Microsoft Entourage" in the list (you may
have to click "Select" and then manually locate Entourage). Quit Mail, and
re-launch Word; it should now use Entourage when you choose that command.

Thanks Mickey. I couldn't figure this out. I went to system preferences,
finder preferences, and even the utilities folder and saw nothing to change
the default e-mail application. This worked.

Just make fictitious entries for the account values. Create a POP account.
Make your email address jsm...@anywhere.net. Make the POP server
pop.anywhere.net and the SMTP server smtp.anywhere.net. When you're
finished, you should be able to proceed to change the preferences to make
Entourage your default mail program.
