I have been having lots of problems lately with Messenger. Because of this,
I uninstalled it and deleted the appropriate registry keys. Then I
reinstalled the latest version.

But now I am unable to set up my cam in Messenger via the audio & video set
up wizard. I get a pop up window that says it's not available. While doing
a test with a friend, I tried to send him my cam but Messenger indicated that
it was in use by another application, which it wasn't. When he tried to send
me his cam, we received the error message: Messenger is not available right
now. Please try again later. (0x8ac70202).

I have done some reading, and I see that there is an issue with McAfee Site
Manager. But I don't have this product installed on my computer; I use Panda
2010 anti virus. Also use XP fully updated with SP3.

Are you able to suggest a quick fix for this problem? If not, can you
direct me to a download site where maybe the previous version of MSN Live
Messenger would be available?

Thank you.

You're very unlikely to get any help in this forum as it's for Apple Mac only. You could try doing a search of CNET downloads for the previous version of MSN.

Here's the link - http://download.cnet.com
