I just installed Messenger for Mac on my Macbook Pro and cannot change the display picture. If I try one of the image options the program gives I press OK and it does nothing or if I try to add a pic of my own it says to check if it's a valid image format even though it's a jpg.
Hi, please try the following:
Launch Messenger, but don't sign-in
Choose the option to "Sign in with a different account . . ."
Click Clear Account History . . .
Click Clear History
Now click Sign-in and enter your credentials again
Please see if either of the above works and let us know the results.
Thanks,
Rebecca

I have this same problem. However it signs me in automatically with no
option to open messenger but not sign it and choose another account! how do i
do this??
As long as you've asked Mac Messenger to remember your username and
password, it will automatically log you in. To reach the log-in panel again,
go to the Network menu and choose "Sign Out" - from there you will be able
to follow Rebecca's steps above.
Thanks!
