Help needed benq pb2140 projector and hd

hi if someone can advise i would be grateful.

i have currently vga lead going from pc in one room to vga input of
benq pb2140 projector in the other room. works well but i would like
to utilize the hdmi port at the back of my pc.
i checked the specs of the projector and it seems its hd ready.

ok so i have hdmi port at the back of my pc not being used. but at the
back of the projector is only vga in and the yellow is it rgb in.

the specs say HDTV compatible Yes so how can i utilize that and can i
use the existing 10meter vga lead i have by getting a vga to hdmi
adaptor for the back of the pc or will that not work or be a waste of
time.
