Can vpc 6.1 have usb 2.0?

When I put my flash usb in to the usb drive it tells me that my flash is 2.0
speed but that the usb hub needs to have an upgrade to 2.0. The odd think is
on my ibook both usb offer 1.1 and 2.0 usb speed.
Is there any upgrade I can download for my windowsxp?
