Issues adding new clients

we are having problems adding new clients on our hyper V machines. we get
this error "'New Virtual Machine' encountered an unexpected error: A
required privilege is not held by the client".
its happing on all 3 of our 2008 hyper V servers and we beleive it may have
something to do with a patch thats goen on in the last 2 months.
