New Word Documents are not Blank

Recently created a Word document which included photos and text. Now
whenever I try to open a blank word document the photos appear in the new
document.

I deleted the original word file and also deleted the photos from my hard
drive. Still everytime I try to create a blank Word document they appear
like a template would.
How do I stop this from happening?
