First close you IE, reopen it, then go to IE tools, then click on
Complements, select MSN photo upload control tool and then select Uninstall,
and redy, your problen was fixed.

Iam haveing trouble with ActiveX also. Can't find Complements anywhere or MSN
photo control tool. I have XP Professional. Computer freezes when I press
Attachment then Photo. Please Help! if you can.

-Close IE if you just installed the ActiveX control "MS Photo Upload Control
tool"
-Open IE
-IN IE go to "tools" and select "Internet Options" (This brings up the
internet options)
-click on the "programs tab" in IE internet options
-on the programs tab window/page click on "manage Add-ons" near the bottom
-on the manage add-ons window/page you will see the add ons you have
installed on your IE browser
-find "MSN Photo upload tool" (publisher = Microsoft | type = Activex
Control | file = MsnPUpld.dll"
-highlight "MSN Photo upload tool" by left clicking on it once
-Once highlighted you can see you have two options at the bottom of the
Manage Add-ons window/page
-you can either disable the add-on or delete it
-if you want to reinstall it becuase something happened the first install go
around. Then simply select delete (while you have the MSN Photo Upload tool
highlighted)
-After choosing delete or disable, simply click ok on all IE option pages
and close your Browser
-Done

-If you planned to reinstall this activex control again, simply log into
your hotmail account again, write/compose a new message and select the
attachment link to attach a file and you should get prompted once more to
install this activex control

*repeat steps again if necessary
*if you are still having problems installing the tool again check out the
tools system requirements to see if you meet what is needed to use the
tool.... have no idea where that documentation is. Good luck

Hi Eric,
I did the same steps that you said.
I delet the Msn photo upload tool and went on my hotmail and installed the
activex control but im having the same problem. My problem is i just got a
new laptop and its vista im trying to send photos to my family. This is wut i
did went on new message then went attach photos and i did all the steps that
asked me.
It takes me to the photo page but it dosent show me any photos. The message
say " you have a new image format in this folder. The converter is
downloading..." I waited for it but nuthin happened do u have any idea wut to
do plz let me know thnx.

downloading..." that's all that pops up for me aswell, i tried following this
website,

but it didn't even allow me to delete msn photo upload tool (which is
instruction number 5). Have you found out how to solve it for vista?

Hi everyone,
I was having problems with trying to use the photo upload tool and thanks to
your posts I could finally uninstall it. The problem I have right now is that
when I try to attach photos to a new message, I click the "attach" button and
doesnt give me the options "file" and "photo", the window to attach a single
file opens.....what do I do to be able to download the msn photo upload tool?
