I am using the ISA SDK 2004 with ASP.NET to add\remove Domain Name sets. this
works fine on the development machine connecting remotely to the ISA Server.
but when i install the ASP.NET app onto the ISA server in IIS it says access
denied only when i try to add a new Domain Name set. Displaying them works
fine??

Hi Jason,

Would you please post the detailed error message of this access denied
error here for me to take a look? Also please reproduce the problem again
and open system event viewer to check if there are any corresponding error
or warning events in the log.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

WenJun Zhang

Hi,
There error is

Access is denied. The error occurred on object 'Allowed Sites' of class
'Domain Name Set' in the array scope.

with "Allowed Sites" being the Domain Name set. this happens when i try to
add a url to the domain set. this works fine on that machine with the vbs
script but under ASP.NET 2.0 on the ISA Server. it fails. interesting i can
enumerate the Domain Name Sets and the urls in each domain name set. i just
can't actually add or remove any? obviously permissions but i can't work out
where?? the event log doens't show anything in relation to this.

Hi Jason,

It seems this is a pure ISA configuration issue. Please understand this
MSDN newsgroup only covers ISA SDK development issue and isn't qualified on
ISA Server troubleshooting. You can post it to unmanaged ISA configuration
newsgroup or TechNet ISA Server forurm for suggestions:
