4.7 was the last GOOD version of the original Netscape, I hated version
6 and 7.

Not as much as I HATED M.S.I.E. though, I went through Windows 95 OSR2,
Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 Server and Windows XP with
that horrible intrigrated evil NOT installed WHAT SO EVER by using some
cab and inf editing skills. I skipped Windows NT, Windows ME, and
Windows Vista all together as those OSes are PURE evil and unrepentive
crap.

Never ever did I let Bill's crappy browser touch my Mac, not my classics
or OS Xs. Believe it or not Microsoft even made a VERY short lived copy
of Internet Expolore "for UNIX"! I guess *nix administrators have the
idea that they should NOT run an Alpha version of that ever so
exploitable malware called a WWW client by Microsoft.

With Windows Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs (the ONLY good Windows
till 7, and before 7 as well) you could even install the OS without
M.S.I.E. or ANY Interweb Exploder componets what so ever during install.

Now with Windows 7 Ultimate I am just starting to... put up with it.

I seem to remember some really neat IP tools that were in earlier
versions of Netscape and disappeared from later versions. Perhaps
the developers wanted to make it less geeky and more palatable for
everyday PC users.

Those same people who helped de-geek what is now the Mozilla code, at
one time were once full-time somewhat paid programers for Netscape. They
latter became full-time unpaid developers for Ubuntu, and part-time paid
employees of the 7-11 corporation. Making the whole lot of 'em sellouts
like the now free Kevin Mitwhat (who?), except no one published their
books about Newbienix, and such manuscripts remain unread.

The thing I like about Firefox is all the different add-ons for
customizing it. I like to try different ones every now and then
to see what is useful and what is useless.

Sorry Daring, the drink has taken some effect. I figured I's said *THE*
thing I like about Internet Explorer... wait a second I dispise Interweb
Exploder! Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari (well atlest on OS X 10.6),
that browser some 12 year old kid wrote in Java last week in his
basement, and even Lynx kick butt compared to Microsoftwarz MESS-IE
(crash, reboot, reboot again, re-install security patches again, ingore
ActiveX error, open last tab history, get infected, send nasty email to
bill...@microsuck.com, get infected again --- god dam it why is all my
p0rn opening up in Media Player, let media player download codecs,
download of codecs failed, get infected again, C:\> format C:, install
PC-BSD, update Firefox, sorry this site is not compatible with your
browser, chuck netbook computer out window, not that Windows, go to 24-
hour adult book store, pass out on Main street in Winnipeg, wake up in
Quebec City, find out the adult material I bought is missing, find some
24-hour adult book store in Quebec City)... well now I think I'm just
ranting mindlessly on Usenet (open up Newsreader, remember I tossed my
netbook out my window in Winnipeg, buy new portable computer, cross-post
to microsoft.public.internetexplorer.security and start the WHOLE
process over again...) WTF?

Wait? What, no! That was my first post somewhat sober in months... I
guess being 1/2 sober is not good enough for quiters - but heck - at
least it's not good enough for me. ;) WGPP
