URL Picker

I'd like to write a URL picker popup window in DHTML/JScript. What I want
to do is allow the user to browse ticketmaster and then whatever link
they're on at the time, grab that URL and put it into a textbox on the
parent page. I very quickly discovered Origin Security! AHH! Is there no
way to write a URL picker? If so, please provide some advice. I really
don't like the fact that the user has to copy and paste.

This question is quite old but I am essentially trying to do the same thing.
I know it is entirely possible; I have done it except I just don't know how
to get the events. I posted a question that also has not been answered. This
newsgroup is not getting a lot of help. My solution is to use a C++
application to do the picking but someone should explain how to do it in
script. I seriously doubt that it is a major technical challenge.
