I'm developing software which will allow users to highlight text in an IE
window, select an appropriate option from the context menu, and have the
text processed in an external program.

I have got the process sorted out. A MenuExt entry in the IE key in the
Registry, which launches an HTML script file. The script file in turn
executes a root class (EG: class:), and the program I have created launches
fine with the text intact received via the parameter passing.

However, whenever the root class is executed from within IE, a blank IE
window is created which makes the program look unprofessional and untidy.
(The window contains the root class URL - class:somesampletext for example)
Is there anyway to get the HTML script prevent the window from appearing?
Or even a registry string setting which can stop it?

Any info appreciated.
All I need to do is get my text from IE into my program - if there is any
easier way that has been developed (code, units etc.), I'd be grateful!

Thanks.
