The target IP for calling is likely the one found via the outside service.
The about NetMeeting on is the private Ip on the respective private networks

The local firewall could be an obstacle but more the first obstacle to
overcome (if it is posssible are the routers at both ends). You need to have
access to the admin features of the router. It sounds like that will *not*
be possible at least from your end.

It doesn't matter ... even if you could find one working it would not work
for your situation.

Neither are relevant to your situation.

This doesn't matter.

Not an issue.

If all you need is the sharing control (and not audio/video) it may be
possible to connect to your wife by calling from your end (assuming the
router at the other end has been setup to make her computer the dmz
computer). You can (normally) call and connect in a data only call in this
situation by calling the external ISP supplied IP address of her router
(that can be determined using an external findip type website or by logging
on to the router and finding the external ip listed there).
I thought there was an add on to Skype that would allow desktop sharing. If
you can find that it would make the whole thing easier/possible. Another
option is to use the remote assistance features of Live Messenger (I am not
much help there though -- haven't actually used that feature). Both Skype
and Live Messenger are setup to work from behind NAT routers. Netmeeting is
old/discontinued and is not router aware and is very difficult to use in
your situation.
Thanks Brian.
