live messenger keeps saying I have 1 Invitation

Everytime Live messenger comes up, it says I have one invitation. I click on
it, and when it opens the page, it shows no invitations. WhenI had some, I
clicked on the ignore, on the spam ones thinking that would stop it.
I can't seem to get rid of the notification?

This worked well for me.
Signout of MSN Messenger and close it fully.
Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts
Delete everything in the windows live contacts folder
Good luck..
