What does someone being able to log into your Hotmail account have to do
with your IP address? Their IP address is unimportant. That they can log
into your account is important.

And what are you going to do if you find their IP address? Are you really
going to file a civil suit against the aggressor and incur the court and
lawyer costs for an yet-to-be-valued loss?

So change your login password for your Hotmail account -- assuming you can
still get in. And make it a STRONG password, not a couple of cutsy words
that can be defeated with a dictionary attack.

You asked this question in another newsgroup..
The same answer applies...quoted below

<qp>
This is a public forum of users like yourself, not Microsoft, Windows Live, or Hotmail people.

No on in here can provide the information you requested and it's unlikely Msft/Hotmail personnel would make that information
available.

If your account is still accessible, change your password and secret question and ensure an alternate email address is configured
in your account for future use(reset, contact support etc).

These are your only option for support(1 and 2). The rest(3, 4, 5) are included if necessary.

1. Hotmail Support
Hotmail Online Solutions Center
- requires creation of a username/pw that will also be linked to a Live ID
- Live ID username is **Not** visible to the public
- Do **Not** use the same password for the Solution Center Account that's used for your Live ID

2. Windows Live ID Support
https://support.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=wlid&ct=eformts
a. Scroll to and click on 'How can I reset my password' or click any item in the Faq list
b. Look in the lower right and click on the option 'Get More Help'
c. Wait till the page loads, then click on 'Get Support'
- the eform should now load

3. Reset Password
https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx?

4 Close A Hotmail account
http://mail.live.com/default.aspx?rru=accountclose&wa=wsignin1.0
- login with the username/pw, then click close

5. Cancel a Live ID
Go to account.live.com to cancel the Live ID
cf. http://windowslivehelp.com/community/p/13031/51654.aspx#51654

Note: if pursuing 4 and 5, 4 must be done before 5 or the process will fail.

Good luck
