Hello, can anyone help?

I have a couple of Japanese e-mail friends . They send me e-mails in this
format ( which I presume is in Japanese ) : $B$%#J& .... . How can I
translate them?
Thanks a lot for any advice!

Hello Choo,

You have 2 problems:

1) You need to convert those symbols into hiragana/kanji

To convert, you need to download the MS language-addon: ie3ljpka
You can get it at

http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/ieplatform/lang/00002.htm

This allows Japanese web pages to be converted. You save
your e-mail message with the .html file extension and then it can be
viewed as a web page in IExplorer

2) you need a translator. They are not cheap. For one, see

http://www.neocor.com/typhoon/typ_scrn.htm

For other products, do a web search for "japanese translation software"
