We have two computers (A and B)about the same age (both Windows XP) but now, because of reduce space we are only using one. Therefore we decided to move the HD from computer A to computer B. We moved the jumper to select Slave and after connecting it to the computer we started windows. Both disks were recognized, but the HD from A would only show (healthy) the FAT32 section with 32GB.

HD from A disk is 80GB. It has three partitions (two NTFS of 28GB each one FAT). FAT partition was also being used as image drive.

I have two questions:

Could the problem be a software issue or hardware?

Should I be able to resolve first issue, can I run software that was installed in that disk ? (I have newer versions of Microsoft Office plus others in that disk. Older versions are in HD of computer B)

I have read answers to similar situation but it does not answer my question.

I will appreciate your help
