Microsoft's Internet Mail program and Outlook Express are not compatible
with MSN Classic. They require POP3 and SMTP servers. For MSN Classic you
must use Exchange/Windows-Messaging/Outlook97 for e-mail with MSN.

MSN Metro (version 2.5) has POP3/SMTP support. This requires that you use
Secure Password Authentication which is available in Internet Mail and News
build 1160 and newer, and all versions of Outlook Express. The POP3 server
is pop3.email.msn.com and the SMTP server is smtp.email.msn.com

PS. Check your News setup. You have specified @microsoft.com as you e-mail
address. For the Microsoft Network, your e-mail address is @msn.com.
