Grabbing Day of Week From Date Picker For Workflow

Hi,

I am wanting to have a workflow that does a different action based on a day
of the week value. I have configured the InfoPath Date Picker to display the
date like this:
"Wednesday, March 11, 2009 12:00:00 AM".

The problem is though when I submit it to Sharepoint I guess it puts it in
an XML format and the data appears like this and I can no longer write a
condition off of the actual day of the week.
"2009-03-11"

InfoPath and Sharepoint 2007.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

you can use the result in InfoPath already. It reacts as DayOfWeek Excel
formula
