I’ve been having trouble with my IIS server running on PX Pro. When I try to
access a page from the same computer the server is running on, it dose not
return the page, or an error page. The browser just hangs.

I ran WFetch to access the local host and the contention was made, and the
request was sent, but no response came back. And even though I’m trying to
talk to the server on the same machine it’s running on, my browser or WFetch
try to access the internet when getting http://localhost/default.asp.

If I disconnect from the my router and turn off my firewall the browser
gives me a “Page can’t be displayed” error page and WFetch generates the
following error.

0x2749 (A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket
is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a send to call)
no address was supplied.): Socket Error On Receive

I’m running a McAfee firewall and virus protection, but turning these off
don’t fix the problem.

It seems to me that when I try to access http://localhost/ my browser (or
whatever application) tries to go online and can’t get back in because of my
firewall. I could be wrong though. Any help or ideas on what the problem
could be or how to fix it would be great. Thanks.

Hi Kenny,

I recommend you check your browser setting and make sure that you have the
"bypass proxy server for local addresses" setting ticked.
